Light Lunches – Support Toilet Twinning:
Throughout this season at 1.00pm a light lunch at a cost of £1.50 is served. Soup, a filled roll, fruit or yoghurt, tea or coffee is the normal menu. A proportion of any profit made is donated to the Toilet Twinning charity, which provides these facilities in Third World countries.
One toilet costs £60 and a block £240. Please see https://www.toilettwinning.org/ for more information about twinning. For more details please contact Albert Wood on 01732 456745.
After the Lunch we gather at 2.00pm for 2.15pm to have an informal meeting with a topic, tea and a time to talk. We think this is important in our busy world!
The afternoon starts with a short period of worship. If there isn’t a main speaker the afternoon will be run by the members themselves providing the contents (from sharing in a theme, to games and quizzes) but it always finishes with a cup of tea and a biscuit! Sometimes we have an outside visit.
