In Sunday Club we focus on providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for children of all ages.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the beginning of each Sunday morning service in the Sanctuary upstairs, and then a team of Sunday Club leaders invite the children to join them in the halls downstairs forsinging, stories, games and craft activities. We have a wide variety of toys available to help our Leaders entertain babies and toddlers!
Parents are welcome to accompany their children and join in the fun, but all Leaders have appropriate DBS checks and are fully prepared to care for babies and children. This enables parents to appreciate the opportunity to worship with other adults while their children enjoy activities appropriate for their age and interests.
We do not present a formally structured curriculum, butfollow a basic theme for each term which gives us a framework to introduce children to Bible stories and Christian values using a wide range of resources. We aim to create displays for the boards which advertise what we do to all Church users.
During the summer our theme is
There are so many heroes and heroines in the Bible.
Who can you think of?
Daniel found himself in a den of hungry lions – how did he escape?
David was only a small boy, but managed to defeat a huge enemy. How did he do that?
Why was Queen Esther so brave?
We will be following their adventures with crafts and puzzles and games.
Come and join the fun!
